Project Manager, Program ​/ Project Manager, Operations Manager

Overview

A growing company specialising in the delivery of end-to-end turnkey solutions across the process industries is seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of on-site installation projects. We are looking for a Project Manager to lead industrial pipework installation projects across multiple laboratory and healthcare sites, with a specific focus on medical gas systems. This role predominantly covers locations across the South of England.

• Manage the full project lifecycle for industrial pipework and medical gas system installations
• Review and manage construction contracts, and oversee mechanical design coordination
• Develop project programmes, allocate labour, and drive workforce productivity
• Procure materials and equipment, ensuring compliance with HTM 02-01 and relevant medical gas standards
• Conduct site surveys, manage site setup, and ensure full H&S compliance (RAMS, COSHH)
• Lead client meetings, monitor progress, control budgets, and manage variations
• Supervise Contract Managers and deliver validation/compliance documentation for medical gas systems

• Proven experience in managing industrial or mechanical engineering projects
• Strong background in medical gas systems is preferred (design, installation, validation, commissioning)
• Solid understanding of pipework system installations
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations for medical gas applications
• Skilled in contract management, project programming, and cost control
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
• Strong knowledge of H&S requirements and ability to manage multiple customer sites

Competitive salary: £60,000 – £80,000 with progression opportunities
