Corporate Tax Associate Director | Reading | £86,000 - £95,500 + Car Allowance | Hybrid working

This role suits a senior Corporate Tax professional who wants influence, variety and a clear route to further progression within a Top 10 firm
.

You’ll join a fast-growing, high-performing Corporate Tax team advising a broad mix of clients, from entrepreneurial and private equity-backed businesses to large UK and international groups. The focus is on high-quality advisory‑led work, portfolio ownership and leadership.

The role

You’ll lead the delivery of technically strong, commercially focused corporate tax advice while helping to grow and shape the client portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing a portfolio of corporate tax clients across advisory and compliance
  • Acting as a trusted adviser to senior client stakeholders
  • Working closely with Partners and Directors on strategy and portfolio growth
  • Identifying and converting new advisory opportunities with existing and new clients
  • Taking responsibility for technical quality, risk and commercial outcomes

    Leading, mentoring and developing team members

The work is varied and evolving, driven by changing client needs and an increasingly complex tax environment.

The Corporate Tax team works across a wide range of sectors including technology, life sciences, manufacturing and other growth industries. Clients range from mid‑market and PE‑backed businesses to large, complex listed and international groups, offering breadth in both technical and commercial exposure.

About you

You’ll likely have:

  • Strong experience managing a corporate tax client portfolio
  • A track record of delivering high‑quality advisory and compliance work
  • Confidence building and maintaining senior client relationships
  • Experience identifying and winning new work
  • Proven people management and leadership capability
  • CTA and/or ACA qualification (or equivalent)
