We are looking for an individual with solid experience in technical or industrial settings such as scientific equipment, water systems, or manifold maintenance. You will have a strong commitment to safety, have written or contributed to processes, procedures, or risk assessments, and will keep the lab operational, equipment well‑maintained, and systems performing at their best.

  • Assist with building, assembling, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
  • Help maintain safe and organized technical spaces by following Health & Safety protocols and supporting day‑to‑day upkeep.
  • Respond to technical incidents in the lab, troubleshoot issues, and escalate when necessary.
  • Keep accurate records of incidents, maintenance activities, and technical updates on agreed platforms.
  • Ensure the lab is well stocked by conducting regular checks and coordinating with the Stores Control team.
  • Support the setup, maintenance, and improvement of equipment used across our technical work spaces.

  • Strong organisational habits, decision‑making confidence, and a natural focus on quality.
  • Adaptability, open communication, and creative problem‑solving.
  • Ability to work on‑site full time, comfortable with physical nature of the role.
