Permanent Salary:
Competitive salary up to £75,000 per annum, depending on experience

The Reporting & Insights Lead is responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality, timely management information to support governance, proactive decision-making, and performance evaluation. This includes implementing dashboards and reporting frameworks, ensuring data consistency across AM&E delivered Projects, and providing actionable insights tailored to the needs of the AM&E organisation.
What you’ll be doing as a Reporting & Insights Lead
  • Develop and maintain dashboards for the AM&E deliverer in the corporate system, ensuring they are updated and published monthly to provide clear insights for governance and decision-making.
  • Operate the Performance Measurement Cycle to ensure timely, accurate, and actionable data is provided to key stakeholders. Deliver reports tailored to the needs of the AM&E organisation to support proactive management of AM&E delivered projects.
  • Ensure alignment with the Hub’s Performance Data Model and standardise reporting practices across AM&E, maintaining consistency and accuracy in all performance measurement outputs.
  • Lead and manage Reporting & Insights resources within the Spoke, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring the adoption of best practices in data visualisation and reporting.
  • Provide timely, reliable, and fit-for-purpose insights to support Strategic Sponsors and stakeholders in making informed decisions about AM&E Performance and deliverability
  • Ensure dashboards for AM&E are developed, maintained, and updated monthly in the corporate system, providing clear and actionable insights to support governance and decision-making.
  • Ensure alignment with the Hub’s Performance Data Model and Performance Measurement Cycle, standardising reporting practices and ensuring data is accurate, consistent, and fit for purpose.
  • Deliver high-quality, tailored reports and insights to key stakeholders, enabling evidence-based decisions and proactive management of AM&E performance and deliverability
  • Lead the Spoke’s Reporting & Insights team, fostering collaboration, adopting best practices in data visualisation and reporting, and building team capability.

What you should bring to the role
To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need is:
  • Proven expertise in setting up and delivering reporting and insights frameworks for large-scale, complex portfolios.
  • Experience in implementing performance measurement cycles and reporting hierarchies.
  • Strong data analysis and visualisation skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets into actionable insights.
  • Ability to influence and manage stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Degree or equivalent in Business Management, Commercial, Finance, Engineering or Project Management related subject.
  • APM qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience of P3M.
  • Data management frameworks and architectures.
  • Data analysis and insights frameworks and architectures.
  • Ability to explain and present complex issues so that they are easy to understand and ensure key project and programme issues are understood by internal and external senior stakeholders.
Additional skills and experiences would be great to have/bring:
  • Substantial experience of Power BI or an equivalent reporting tool/system
  • Familiarity with the utilities or water sector or other regulated industries
  • Experience in managing data quality and addressing inconsistencies across large datasets
  • Involvement in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting capabilities
