Principal Cyber Security Architect

Our client, a leading organisation in the pensions and financial services sector
, is hiring a Principal Cyber Security Architect to lead security architecture across a complex, regulated enterprise environment.

This is a senior, high-impact role with genuine influence. You’ll shape cloud and application security strategy, act as a trusted advisor to executives and clients, and deputise for the Head of Cyber Security.

• Define and own enterprise-wide cyber security architecture and roadmaps
• Design secure Azure-first and hybrid cloud environments
• Embed security-by-design across IT, engineering, and development teams
• Lead threat modelling, risk assessments, and architecture assurance
• Set and maintain security standards, patterns, and policies
• Advise CIOs, senior leadership, Boards, and clients on cyber risk
• Mentor senior engineers and architects
• Support governance forums and major security incidents

• Principal or Lead-level Cyber Security Architect
• Strong hands‑on experience securing Azure environments
• Deep application security knowledge (secure SDLC, OWASP Top 10)
• Background in regulated financial services (pensions, insurance, FS)
• Confident communicator able to translate technical risk into business impact
• Experience with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, TOGAF or similar frameworks
• CISSP, CISM, CCSP (or equivalent) preferred

• Remote working
