Your Impact

As a Lead Payroll Specialist, you will own and drive end‑to‑end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery across the assigned payroll portfolio. You will act as a trusted expert, proactively identifying improvements, managing risks, and supporting audits, while contributing to a smooth and compliant payroll experience for employees and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Start to end payroll processing for France and other EMEA payrolls; excellent knowledge of France payroll and employment compliance.
  • Handle all payroll input/output, benefits administration, compliance administration, tax, and financial year‑end administration annually, quarterly and ad‑hoc.
  • Oversee payment dispensations related to payroll activity.
  • Support all admin tasks linked to payroll compliance.
  • Maintain excellent attention to detail and be proactive, anticipating and preparing in advance.
  • Plan and deliver on key tasks and deadlines.
  • Train other team members and stay current with professional knowledge.
  • Resolve queries and tickets from internal and external parties and auditors, ensuring timely submissions.
  • Take responsibility as a self‑starter, delivering effective and efficient results.
  • Investigate, perform root cause analysis, review processes and policies, identify risks and work with leads and managers to manage payroll operation risks.
  • Support and lead large projects, delivering results in a given capacity.
  • Manage team members’ operational activities and professional development.
  • Assume regional or hub responsibilities.
  • Ensure all operational processes and procedures are followed, leading continuous improvement, streamlining, harmonisation and automation.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of payroll experience with strong knowledge of finance, HR and compliance.
  • Fluent communication in French.
  • Keep payroll managers and lead payroll specialists informed about legislative changes, streamlining opportunities and risks.
  • Proactive communication of issues or concerns, making decisions and discussing them with payroll leads and cross‑functional teams.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with cross‑functional teams, understanding their processes to anticipate risks.
  • Communicate effectively to all audiences, both written and spoken.
  • Lead payroll team meetings, discuss operational activities, streamlining, harmonisation and automation opportunities with excellent implementation and technical knowledge.
  • Be a main contact for managing risks to payroll operations within the portfolio, supporting and guiding colleagues.
  • Excellent communicator, capable of speaking to small or large audiences.
Compensation

Salary Range: $x - $x; depending on the candidate’s education, experience, skills, geographic location and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
