Part-Time / Full Time Healthcare Assistant Jobs in Reading, Berkshire. We are currently recruiting 2–4 experienced Healthcare Assistants (HCA) and Senior Healthcare Assistants to join our family‑run, Outstanding care home in Reading, Berkshire. The Role – Healthcare Assistant / Senior Care Assistant- Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care to residents
- Support with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and wellbeing
- Promote dignity, independence, and respect at all times
- Accurately maintain care records
- Work collaboratively with nurses and senior staff
- For Senior HCAs:
Provide leadership and support to junior team members
- 2–3 shifts per week
- 12.5‑hour shifts
- Total weekly hours: 25 to 37.5 hours
- £13.00 – £16.00 per hour
- Rate dependent on experience, qualifications, and suitability for Senior HCA responsibilities
To maintain our Outstanding standards, we require:
- Minimum Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care
- At least 5 years’ experience working in care homes
- Minimum 12 months in your current role
- No more than 2–3 job changes within the past 5 years
- Full UK driving licence
- Full right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
