Job Overview

Reporting Sonographer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology – Level 7. You will independently perform and report a wide range of maternity and gynaecology scans within a team that values clinical excellence and compassionate care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound scans for all types of obstetric and gynaecology scans.
  • Report findings and make appropriate referrals to multidisciplinary team and communicate findings to patients.
  • Perform and report ultrasound scans, including screening for nuchal translucency, anomaly, growth scans, early pregnancy, and gynaecology scans.
  • Work with the Maternity Ultrasound Department, a team of sonographers, healthcare assistants, and fetal medicine specialists.
Person Specification

Education, Qualifications & Training – Essential criteria

  • Educated to a minimum of 1st degree level.
  • CASE accredited qualification in medical ultrasound.
  • DQASS or FMF accreditation in 1st trimester screening.

Desirable criteria

  • MSc or MA.
  • Qualified Radiographer.
  • Registered Midwife.

Experience – Essential criteria

  • Post‑graduate ultrasound experience.
  • Participation in audit process.

Desirable criteria

  • Leadership experience.
  • Experience in facilitation, teaching, assessing, and coaching.
