Are you a qualified Speech & Language Therapist looking to expand your clinical skills and professional career in paediatrics?

Are you looking for a part‑time role that offers flexibility to coincide with your home life?

We have an exciting opportunity for a new or experienced Band 6 Speech & Language Therapist to join our fantastic CYPIT team on a part‑time basis for a 1‑year fixed‑term contract.

You will be based at Addington School in Wokingham where you will manage your own complex caseload treating patients using an impact‑based model of clinical decision making. You’ll also run school holiday clinics for children without EHCPs.

Although you will be school‑based you will work within a supportive multidisciplinary team of OTs, Physios & Assistants with opportunities to shadow other therapists, attend training and have involvement in service development.

You’ll bring experience of working with children with additional needs – either in special or mainstream settings.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality assessment and interventions for children and young people with developmental / complex communication needs.
  • Opportunity to work alongside, and learn from experienced therapists.
  • Be involved in the implementation of training packages.
  • Contribute to defined projects and service development initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records.

The Must Haves for this Role
  • Qualified Speech & Language Therapist, registered with HCPC.
  • Experience (including placement experience) in working with children or adults with additional needs.
  • Ability and readiness to travel to multiple sites within Wokingham.
