We have an incredible opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of adults in Berkshire who are struggling with the challenges of Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD). As part of our Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) team within our wider IMPACTT service, you will be welcomed by our friendly team and given the chance to advance from band 7 to a band 8a, polishing and cultivating your expertise.
Responsibilities- Deliver all components of standard DBT: individual therapy sessions, skills group, telephone coaching, and active participation in weekly consults.
- Complete the postgraduate diploma in DBT.
- Facilitate specialised psychological assessments and employ expertise to effectively conduct them.
- Assess and continuously monitor risks, implementing strategies collaboratively to ensure safety and appropriateness of interventions.
- Engage in regular supervision sessions and provide supervision for others.
- Actively participate in IMPACTT meetings and collaborate closely with key professionals to ensure seamless support for individuals.
- Work out of the Athena Centre in Slough and Erlegh House, University of Reading, and travel to other Trust sites as required. The role will be carried out face‑to‑face and remotely via Microsoft Teams.
- Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology.
- Registered and accredited with the Health Care Professional Council (HCPC).
- A passion for working with people diagnosed with EUPD and delivering standard DBT.
- Willingness to be trained in DBT with British Isles DBT and complete further education leading to a postgraduate diploma in DBT.
- Interest in developing and providing supervision and consultation.
