Following a review of the environment and re-structure of In-Patient Services we have an opportunity to recruit a part time (16 hours per week) Band 8A Ligature Minimisation Lead for Prospect Park Hospital, to work directly with our ISS and Prospect Health partners, and the In-Patient clinical Teams to reduce the potential harm to patients due to environmental ligature risks.

We are looking for an experienced clinician who has worked within Acute In-patient mental health settings and has a good understanding of the environmental risks associated with fixed ligatures. The person needs to have a proven track record of delivering training and developing others as well as the required communication skills to quickly develop trusted relationships with both clinical and estates colleagues.
He/she must be capable, reliable, highly organised, warm, and dynamic professional who has previous experience of working at Band 8a level and in working across systems and boundaries to achieve clearly identified goals.
- Lead the ligature minimisation process across Berkshire Healthcare.
- Leading on audit processes and working with teams to develop operational and technical solutions.
- Collaborate with numerous stakeholders including CQC, NHSE, Clinicians, Compliance & Risk Teams, Estates and Facilities Teams (both PFI and Trust teams) and Divisional Leadership team for all aspects of ligature minimisation.
- Facilitate the development of the ISS Team in the area of harm minimisation and environment ligature risks.
