Youth Support Worker – Reading
Are you an individual who is passionate about supporting children with their mental health needs?
A really rewarding position has become available for a Youth Support Worker to work in a school in Reading. This is an excellent position to gain really valuable experience whilst also making a huge difference to the lives of vulnerable children.
They place a huge focus on supporting students who have been diagnosed with Autism, and ensure they are being met with the necessary interventions to support their development and education.
Responsibilities- Help children manage and cope with their emotions and mental health, regulate their emotions and adopt healthy coping strategies.
- Support and shadow the class teacher while providing 1:1 support for SEN students.
- Help run exciting lessons to ensure the classroom is a fun and exciting place.
- Behavioural management may also be required.
- Experience working with vulnerable children is desirable but not essential.
- Background in sports, art or drama is an advantage.
- Graduates in a relevant field will also be considered.
Location: Reading
Start: ASAP
Salary: £85 - £100 per day
Hours: Full‑time, Mon – Fri
