Senior Town Planner

Future Gen Recruitment is working with a leading planning consultancy in Reading seeking a Senior Town Planner to support a growing portfolio of residential-led mixed-use schemes across the Thames Valley andwider South East.

This is a business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality planning advice, particularly on complex sites requiring careful stakeholder management and commercially grounded strategy.

• Leading planning applications through to determination
• Drafting detailed Planning Statements and supporting planning strategy documents
• Negotiating with planning officers and consultees
• Representing clients at planning committee
• Supporting Local Plan representations and strategic land promotion
• Assisting with planning appeals where required
• Mentoring junior planners and supporting team delivery

• MRTPIqualified or close to achieving chartership
• Confident communicator with client-facing ability
• Strong report writing and project management skills
• Commercially minded and delivery focused
