Financial Accountant
Location:
Reading
Work Pattern:
Contract - Hybrid
Responsibilities
* Complete month end process including journals, reconciliations, variance analysis & commentary of principal variances.
* Assist in the year end group pack preparation and review.
* Maintain an ongoing daily dialogue with the Financial Controller and Business team highlighting material impacts to performance.
* Prepare financial statements for the relevant legal entities
* Support the Accounting Lead to identify and implement initiatives and opportunities e.g. process improvements
Qualifications
* Be fully qualified with a recognised accounting body and have 1–2 years of post-qualification experience
* Be able to work to tight timescales while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail
* Demonstrate a diligent, methodical approach with a willingness to support ad hoc tasks as needed
* Have a strong working knowledge of core financial systems and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
