In this role, you will provide R&D and Patent Box services to a range of clients from small start-ups to major multinationals across all lines of the sector. You will regularly engage with stakeholders at all levels, so it is important that you are able to clearly articulate complex tax issues and develop effective solutions and relationships with clients.

We’re looking for a candidate who can balance technical excellence with client service, within a collaborative, flexible working environment.
Responsibilities- Provide R&D and Patent Box services to a wide range of clients using resources from a specialist team or via technology tools.
- Manage a substantial portfolio of clients including onboarding and engagement, billing, and identifying opportunities to improve recoveries and cash collection.
- Develop professional relationships with clients and within the Firm, adapting the approach for the relevant audience.
- Understand potential risks to the Firm in relation to quality control procedures and raise to the appropriate person.
- Get involved in special assignments on an ad hoc basis.
- Guide and supervise less experienced colleagues; support, train, mentor and advise others in the area.
- Challenge current practice, drive improvements and champion change.
- Take personal responsibility for own decisions and actions and those of others.
- Lead projects of limited scale or complexity.
- In-depth, up-to-date knowledge of taxation with specialist knowledge and the ability to deal with complex tax issues.
- Ability to manage a substantial client portfolio profitably while actively seeking opportunities to develop new clients and to sell services to existing clients.
- Experience of dealing with client senior management.
- Educated to degree level and/or CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent; demonstrable post-qualification experience.
