Job DescriptionThis role involves managing core financial functions such as accounts payable / receivable, tax, audit, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to lead and develop a team. Key requirements for the position include :
- Strong experience in tax compliance / planning
- Expertise in financial controls / risk
- Proficiency in financial reporting and budgeting / cost control
- Leadership and development of a small finance function
- Financial strategy
- Cashflow and treasury management
- External stakeholder management, banks, auditors, etc
The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar sized global business and be comfortable in a matrix structured environment reporting into the Group CFO and interaction with Global CEO.
- Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- 10 + years of progressive experience in accounting, including team leadership. Working experience s in accounting firms or similar industry are preferred.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, auditing practices and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP preferred)
- Strong MS Excel skills (pivot tables, charts, formulas, data analysis)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism
