About

The Role

We have an opportunity for a Corporate Tax Manager to join our growing Thames Valley tax team. With a 66% increase in headcount since March 2020 and recent relocation to larger offices, this role offers natural opportunities for progression. It may suit an Assistant Manager looking for a step up, or a Manager seeking a new and exciting challenge with scope for career advancement.

You will work closely with tax partners delivering UK and cross‑border project‑based work and oversee larger, complex compliance work for a portfolio of clients ranging from owner‑managed companies to listed groups across various industry sectors. You will also be involved in business development initiatives, helping the team generate new work.

Required qualifications include ACA/CTA (or equivalent) with extensive practical tax experience, e.g., managing compliance for large groups, delivering advisory projects such as group restructures, interest deductibility analysis, capital allowance projects, and handling HMRC enquiries.

Role Requirements
  • ACA/CTA or equivalent qualification essential.
  • Significant Corporate Tax and accounting experience on a range of advisory and compliance projects.
  • A passion for client service.

Your Client Responsibilities
  • Leading work on UK and cross‑border tax advisory projects, reporting to tax partners.
  • Overseeing compliance work on larger or more complex clients.
  • Developing relationships with clients and contacts.
  • Identifying opportunities to offer additional services (corporate taxes, VAT, personal taxes, payroll taxes, corporate finance support, etc.).
  • Acting with integrity and the firm’s best interests at all times.
  • Understanding risk types and following the firm’s risk management policies.
  • Managing reputational, operational and credit risk in client interactions.
  • Demonstrating urgency and high quality in delivering work that impacts the firm’s ability to serve clients.
  • Applying an analytical, solution‑based approach to problem solving on client assignments.
  • Identifying areas for improvement in client business processes and providing recommendations.
  • Taking primary responsibility for financial performance on clients and projects.
