Lead Production Support Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Production Support Engineer to join our thriving UK medical manufacturing company’s Engineering Department. The role will require fault finding, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), installations and upgrades to circuitry, as well as providing mechanical support during breakdowns. All work must be completed effectively, keeping machine downtime to a minimum and within target expectations while adhering to the latest Health and Safety Regulations and best practices.

• Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
• Experience working in an automated production environment
• Machine setting experience
• Previous team leading experience
• Strong engineering background – electrical and mechanical
• Strong knowledge of Health and Safety practices
• Ability to build strong working relationships
• Understanding of working in a controlled environment
• Ability to manage downtime and priorities
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Ability to modify machine wiring
• Ability to read engineering drawings electrically and mechanically

• Experience of injection moulding
• Knowledge and understanding of quick changeover best practices
• 18th Edition PLC knowledge

• 4 on, 4 off shift pattern from 1st May (currently operating a 2 on, 2 off pattern)
• From 1st May: 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off (currently 2 days on, 2 days off, 2 nights on, 2 nights off)
• Day shifts: 7:00 am – 7:30 pm
• Evening shifts: 7:30 pm – 7:00 am
