Overview
Our client based in Reading, UK is seeking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Equipment Engineer.
Responsibilities- Technical specification and design of equipment for individual bespoke projects ensuring deliverables are produced within manhour budgets and schedule constraints.
- Thermal and mechanical design of pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
- Technical support for the procurement of equipment across our range of technologies, including packages and static equipment.
- Production of drawings, engineering datasheets, specifications and requisitions.
- Review of detailed design information and supplier documentation.
- Periodic short term international visits to vendors, client offices and construction sites.
- Support of other departments in the company needing help with heat transfer or mechanical design issues.
- Mentoring of developing engineers.
- Degree qualified in relevant discipline.
- Broad range of design experience with a Process Plant and Construction company or similar.
- Flexible team player with excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to prove eligibility to work in the UK.
