Site Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major public realm and highway improvement scheme in Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Site Engineer to secure 10 months’ work on a high-profile highway and public realm project with an immediate start available.

The Role

As Site Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering public realm and highway works within a busy urban environment. The successful Site Engineer will be responsible for setting out, quality assurance, managing subcontractors, and ensuring all highway elements are delivered safely and to specification.

This Site Engineer position requires strong experience working on public realm and highway schemes, with a solid understanding of specifications and site procedures within a live highway setting.

Key Responsibilities

* Setting out and surveying for highway and public realm works

* Managing subcontractors on site as Site Engineer

* Ensuring all highway works meet required standards and tolerances

* QA documentation and reporting

* Liaising with project managers and the wider highway delivery team

* Overseeing day-to-day site activities as Site Engineer

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Site Engineer on public realm and highway projects

* Strong knowledge of highway construction techniques

* Competent with setting out equipment (GPS, Total Station)

* CSCS card

* Ability to start ASAP
