Environmental Management and Permitting Specialist

Provide technical advice and support in environmental permitting, management systems, and compliance services to clients across a range of sectors including water utilities, chemicals and manufacturing in the UK, Ireland and Europe. Work as an integral part of a specialist environmental management and compliance team, scoping and cultivating technical or innovative solutions to improve the performance of client organisations in relation to environmental management, compliance, governance, auditing and permitting.

• Assess client processes and procedures and draft permit applications, including completing relevant documentation such as BAT assessments and management plans.
• Provide technical expertise and advice in relation to environmental management systems and deliver compliance auditing services.
• Liaise with regulators to ensure successful outcomes for clients.
• Foster strong and trusting relationships across diverse client teams.
• Directly influence environmental outcomes, community value and long‑term sustainability.
• Develop networks internally and externally, maintain positive client relationships and contribute to business development activities where appropriate.
• Take accountability and ownership of time, cost and quality of project outcomes.

• Graduate or MSc in Environmental Science, Geography, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
• Demonstrable track record of successfully producing and delivering environmental permits for utilities and major infrastructure projects.
• Experience developing and delivering best available techniques (BAT) assessments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills in the provision of environmental management support to infrastructure and design projects.
