Engineering Project Manager
Electrical & Instrumentation Systems in Hazardous Environments
Location: Chichester (office-based) + UK & occasional international travel
Salary: £55-70,000 plus car allowance and bonus
Type: Permanent, full-time
The Company
A specialist engineering business delivering electrical, instrumentation and fluid‑handling systems into safety‑critical environments across the UK and internationally. They design, engineer, integrate and support complex assets from concept and build through to testing, commissioning and handover, working with both industrial and commercial clients. Their reputation is built on technical integrity, quality delivery and practical engineering excellence.
The Opportunity
This is a senior Engineering Project Manager role; you’ll take ownership of the technical delivery of a large and varied project portfolio, managing multiple live projects simultaneously at different stages of the process, some running over multiple years.
This role is best suited to someone who enjoys setting priorities, managing competing deadlines, and owning the engineering detail, rather than pure people management. You’ll personally pull together scopes, lead designs, manage approvals, and see projects through to build, commissioning, and handover.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Specification of project scopes and deliverables.
- Leading detailed engineering design reviews and approvals.
- Coordinating with clients, contractors and cross‑functional teams to ensure successful build, commissioning and handover.
- Managing project schedules, budgets, and risk throughout the life‑cycle.
