The Water Utilities Division is Mott Mac Donald’s centre of excellence for responding to the UK and Ireland's water and wastewater challenges. The work we do is at the forefront of ensuring safe water supplies for future generations, preventing urban flooding, and improving the health of our rivers and coastal environments. Our multi-disciplinary teams provide a variety of services throughout the full project life cycle, from advisory services and feasibility studies to outline and detailed design.

The Asset Management And Infrastructure Planning Team is one of five sub‑sectors within our Water Consultancy Division, which employs around 600 people across the UK. We work in the water sector and with other infrastructure providers both in the UK and internationally in the following areas:
- Water resource investment planning
- Wastewater and bioresources investment planning
- Strategic asset management and business planning
- Technical assurance of operational performance and business cases
- Carbon and net zero appraisal and strategic planning
- Integrated systems management
- Data analytics and decision support tools
- Contract’s appraisal (NEC, PPP)
Our clients are facing significant challenges from climate change, population growth and ageing assets. Their customers expect increasing service levels and less impact on the environment at lower cost. Asset management is key to overcoming these challenges and therefore we are growing our team in this area.
We are looking for motivated professionals, with at least 5 years of asset management experience preferably in the water sector, to join our team based in the UK. The ideal candidate will have a desire for a long‑term career in asset management, becoming a Member of the Institute of Asset Management and managing their own projects.
Key Responsibilities And Duties Include- Assist the technical delivery of asset management advisory projects, including frequent interaction with clients and working from within client environments
- Contribute to the development of project outputs, including investment business cases and reports
- Support business development activities, including client engagement, preparing and managing project proposals
- Facilitate asset management capability assessments and identifying areas for improvement
- Support project and budget management, including team coordination and ensuring compliance with PM procedures
