We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and experienced EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Reading, starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality early years education that fosters curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

As an EYFS Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons and activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will nurture children’s development across all areas, including literacy, numeracy, communication, social, and emotional skills, while providing individualised support for those who need it. Collaboration with teaching assistants and strong communication with parents is essential to ensure each child reaches their potential.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, deliver, and assess high‑quality EYFS lessons and activities
Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development
Promote early communication, language, literacy, and numeracy skills
Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all children, including SEND and EAL
Foster independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
Observe, monitor, and record children’s progress accurately
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and EYFS colleagues
Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers
Maintain learning journals and assessment records
Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and whole‑school initiatives
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent EYFS qualification
Have experience teaching Nursery or Reception
Be nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic
Demonstrate excellent classroom organisation and behaviour management
Understand the EYFS framework and child development principles
Be reflective, proactive, and adaptable
Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing
