A friendly school in Reading are looking for an ASD Support Assistant to join their team starting as soon as possible.

The role as an ASD Support Assistant:

* To support students with their learning in the classroom

* Assist with bridging any gaps in their development and education

* Encourage students to achieve their goals – both academic and personal

* Facilitate a positive environment to help make students learning concrete

* Assist the class teacher with general support in the classroom – this can be helping prepare lessons, tidy up afterwards, provide general supervision over the classroom

The successful ASD Support Assistant:

* Will have some experience working with children in a classroom setting

* Will be patient, proactive and passionate about making a difference

* Will be calm and positive – be able to easily build relationships with the children

* Understand the importance of Safeguarding

* Have a DBS or be willing to obtain one
