Activate Learning are looking for an A-Level Law and Politics Teacher to join our established teaching team at our Reading College campus. This role is to cover maternity leave. We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals with the ability to inspire to deliver teaching on our A Level Law and Access Politics programmes, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to our dynamic learning environment.
This is a full-time, fixed-term role covering maternity leave, based at our Reading College campus until January 2027. We would consider part-time and flexibility for the right candidate.
Responsibilities- Deliver teaching on A Level Law and Access Politics programmes at Reading College campus.
- Be a role model for students and help them develop professional qualifications and the attributes needed to progress in the world of work.
- Contribute to a dynamic learning environment and support career development opportunities for students.
- This role may suit a newly qualified teacher or graduate in politics or law seeking to start a career in teaching.
- Professional qualification at Level 4 or above (Degree) in law. No subject-specific politics qualification is required.
- Previous teaching experience is required; a teaching qualification is not required. We will support you to develop teaching skills and qualifications while working with us.
- Experience teaching A-Levels is highly desirable.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver engaging lessons to a diverse range of learners. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads. Ability to work well within a supportive team and pursue opportunities for career development.
