Study Centre & Reading Development Leader (Full Time)
37.5 hours per week – term time plus two weeks holiday. Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm (30‑minute unpaid lunch break).
- Full‑time salary: £31,537 – £34,434 per annum.
- Actual salary: £28,287 – £30,885 per annum (89.69% FTE).
Our Study Centre Reading Development Leader will make a significant contribution to the progress and outcomes of our learners. You will implement strategies to raise achievement and support a vibrant reading culture.
- Plan and deliver literacy activities for KS3/KS4 pupils.
- Analyse data to identify learning gaps and inform targeted interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers to embed reading strategies across the curriculum.
- Provide professional development and mentorship to staff.
- Lead the study centre operations and ensure a welcoming, resource‑rich environment.
- Experience working with young people in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of the KS3/KS4 curriculum and how to support students’ academic development.
- A passion for reading and literacy, recognising its importance in a modern education.
- Committed to making a significant contribution to our school reading culture.
