Two posts of Lecturer (Assistant Professor) to contribute to the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and to the research environment of the Department and wider university.
The role is based on the Whiteknights campus; applicants will be expected to work on campus a few days a week, starting from 1 September 2026.
By reference to the applicable SOC code for this role, sponsorship may be possible under the Skilled Worker Route. Applicants wishing to consider the SWR must ensure that they are able to meet the points requirement before applying.
DepartmentThe Department of Economics is part of the School of Philosophy, Politics and Economics (SPPE). The School and the Department have an established reputation for inter‑disciplinary research, collaborating with colleagues from schools across the university.
Key Qualifications- PhD in Economics or related subject
- Publications in international highly ranked refereed journals, with evidence of a pipeline that has the potential for regular publication in highly ranked journals
- Evidence of ability to teach a variety of topics at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels
