QUANTITY SURVEYOR (FTC – MATERNITY COVER)

Salary: £80,000 – £90,000 per annum

12-month fixed-term (with potential to go permanent)

The Role

A leading design & build commercial interiors contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

The business delivers fast-paced interior fit-out projects ranging from £500k to £20m, with a typical project value of £1.5m–£4.5m. This role will take ownership of multiple live projects, working closely with the delivery and design teams to manage costs across the full lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Full commercial management of D&B interior fit-out projects
Preparing and managing project budgets and cost plans
Procurement of subcontractors and supplier packages
Managing valuations, variations, and final accounts
Cost reporting and forecasting across multiple projects
Supporting project teams with commercial strategy and risk mitigation
Liaising with clients, consultants, and subcontractors Requirements

Proven Quantity Surveying experience within interior fit-out or refurbishment
Strong understanding of Design & Build contracts
Experience managing projects in the £1m–£10m+ range
Commercially driven with strong cost control capability
Excellent stakeholder and subcontractor management skills
Degree qualified or equivalent preferred
