Live Events Engineer
£30,000 - £40,000 per annum
Full-time - 40 hours per week - Live Events

This is an opportunity for an experienced Live Events or Exhibition Engineers who thrive in fast-paced live environments and is ready to take ownership of builds on-site.
As an Events Engineer, you will take responsibility for delivering high-quality temporary structures and exhibition builds from concept to completion. You will be the senior technical presence on-site - coordinating engineers, liaising with clients, and ensuring every install and de-rig runs safely, efficiently and on schedule.
If you enjoy variety, problem-solving, leadership, and working on high-profile brand events, this role offers both challenge and progression.
The Role
You will lead live event builds and de-rigs across exhibitions, brand activations, and large-scale installations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing and delivering full event builds and breakdowns
Acting as the primary on-site contact for clients and stakeholders
Leading, coordinating and motivating engineering teams
Overseeing installation of modular and temporary systems including:
BeMatrix frameworks
Timber and scenic structures
Modular exhibition builds
Supporting installation of LCD and LED display systems where required
Ensuring all Health & Safety standards are met and maintained
Mentoring and developing junior engineers
This role operates in a live events environment. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm.
What the Client is looking for
We're keen to speak with individuals who have:
Strong experience in live events, exhibitions, or scenic builds
Demonstrable on-site leadership experience
Confidence managing teams under tight deadlines
Experience with BeMatrix systems (highly desirable)
Woodworking or scenic build experience
Exposure to LED walls, LCD display installation or digital signage
Understanding of CMS or digital signage software (advantageous)
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
A full UK driving licence
This role suits someone hands-on who enjoys responsibility and wants to be recognised as a lead figure within a growing events team.

Overtime paid at hourly rate based on salary
28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
Additional day's leave for each year of service
