CAPEX Reporting Data Analyst

Thames Water is looking for a finance data subject‑matter expert to support our extensive capital programme. The role will partner with the business to deliver assurance around data quality, improve reporting accuracy and efficiency, and enable self‑service analysis that informs decision‑making and strategic analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the Digital SAC team to deliver monthly reports on time and accurately reflect the capital position.
  • Manage the capex budgeting and forecasting via SAC, ensuring the system accurately reflects inputs and assumptions from the business and PMO teams.
  • Continuously review and recommend process improvements, working with IT and suppliers to automate and enhance systems.
  • Support the Central FP&A team with capex‑related analysis, assurance and challenge processes for budgeting and forecasting.
What You Should Bring
  • Strong system experience with SAP and SAC.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
  • Experience in assurance and control of complex data sets.
  • Excellent analytical and data modelling skills, including advanced Excel proficiency.
Additional Skills and Experiences That Would Be Great
  • Solid experience in financial planning, including rolling forecasts and consolidation.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise work and handle ad‑hoc tasks and projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to see the broader picture.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate data across a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Proactive, ambitious, and continuously seeking improvement.
  • Qualified accountant (bonus).
