  • Develop and implement multi‑year category, sourcing, and cost‑efficiency plans using data, analytics, and market insights to optimise performance, enhance agility, and achieve sustained cost savings.
  • Build strong senior‑level stakeholder alignment and lead complex, high‑value negotiations and sourcing events, ensuring robust governance, compliance, and delivery against business goals.
  • Manage and integrate the GBS offshore partner into category ways of working, ensuring they are fully equipped with data and requirements, and overseeing their delivery to agreed sourcing timelines.
  • Maintain and enhance strategic supplier relationships, monitoring performance and driving continuous improvement, innovation, sustainability, and value beyond cost.
  • Continuously track benefits, monitor market dynamics and risks, promote digital tools and analytics, and support the category manager in ensuring category resilience, transparency, and regulatory compliance.
What You’ll Get

People are at the heart of what we do here, so it’s essential we provide you with the right environment to perform at your very best.

Let’s talk lifestyle:
Healthcare, pension, and potential bonus. 27 days of leave, plus bank holidays and if you want, you can buy 5 more. Because Primark is all about tailoring to you, we offer Tax Saver Tickets, fitness centre, and a subsidised cafeteria.

What You’ll Bring

Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:

  • Over 5 years’ procurement experience with strong category management knowledge, deep understanding of procurement policy, processes, and systems, and a track record of operating successfully in fast‑paced, matrixed organisations.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and partners—ensuring alignment on objectives and driving strategic collaboration.
  • Strong commercial acumen with solid financial, legal, and contractual understanding, including sustainability, CSR, and ethical sourcing considerations.
  • A results‑driven, self‑motivated approach with curiosity, innovation, and the ability to influence, negotiate, and drive meaningful change across complex environments.
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and strategic thinking skills, supported by strong organisation, prioritisation, time management, and multi‑tasking capabilities.
  • Skilled in project management and risk evaluation, consistently meeting deadlines, delivering performance reporting, and willing to travel as required to support business needs.
