Customer Development Manager – Pharmacy Wholesalers (PG25). This position reports to a Senior Customer Development Manager within our Pharmacy Team and is based in Reading.
What You Will DoThe Customer Development Manager will be responsible for building relationships with key decision makers for three Pharmacy Wholesaler accounts, conducting presentations to key customer executives and decision makers, preparing formal proposals and leading negotiations, and developing accurate sales forecasts and reports. You will also establish sales plans and specific project plans for these accounts as well as driving customer business opportunities and finding ways to overcome threats.
Key Responsibilities- Delivery of specified business targets (sales, spend and profit targets - INS, TCI, NTS, Net GP)
- Full forecasting and spend management, making accurate forecasts to your business team and Commercial Excellence contacts
- Progressing incremental growth opportunities with your customers
- Responsible for building positive and collaborative relationships with your customer contacts, and representing your customers’ requirements to the Kenvue business
- Building and supervising a Joint Business Plan to ensure delivery of key metrics for Kenvue and business partner
- Develop a solid understanding of the market and keep track of market activity to share information regarding changes or new activity in the marketplace
- Supports business improvement projects beyond immediate role responsibilities
- Gains stakeholders’ commitment through consultative, selling and leadership techniques
- Follows the negotiation process to achieve a positive agreement with the customer
- Motivates and encourages peers and others to achieve higher levels of performance
- Influences a diverse group of stakeholders both internally and externally, at multiple levels, to drive initiatives forward and create strategic vision
- Constructs and delivers persuasive impactful communications that garner broad support and enthusiasm
- Develops creative solutions to achieving mutual agreements, while actively managing the impact on the company
- Understands and leverages Kenvue’s strategic business objectives including customer segmentation and retailer life cycle to develop a winning customer plan
- Leverages understanding of the Pharmacy channel and the customers, including key decision makers, and the business to optimize account penetration and account management effectiveness
- Fosters customer partnerships that are relevant, compelling, and differentiated from the competition
- Has built strong, reciprocal, trusted relationships across organizational and functional boundaries
- Identifies areas of misalignment between customer and Kenvue and works to mitigate the potential negative business impact
- Viewed by customer organization and cross‑functional partners as a “customer champion” and enabler of productive action
- Challenges status quo and continuously seeks business improvements
