We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Procurement Process Specialist to support the execution and continuous improvement of the full Source-to-Pay (S2P) cycle including a GBS shared services operating model. This role is critical in ensuring seamless procurement operations across sourcing, contracting, purchasing, risk, sustainability and payment activities while driving compliance, efficiency, and service excellence.

The ideal candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and cross‑functional teams to manage day‑to‑day procurement operations and support global process standardisation.

What You’ll Do as a Procurement Process Specialist

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day‑to‑day:

  • You will design, document, implement, and continuously improve procurement processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • You will create and maintain process and policies in line with best practices and organisational needs, e.g. risk, sustainability and compliance and control requirements. You will ensure compliance with Primark’s Financial Control Framework, internal policies and laws and regulations.
  • Work with and lead projects for the S2P and GBS Procurement Manager and Procurement Risk Manager.
  • Working closely with Finance colleagues, you will ensure alignment and optimise the full end‑to‑end source‑to‑pay process including processes managed outside of procurement e.g. purchase order management, payments.
  • Develop and optimise operational sourcing activities (e.g., RFX events, spot buys) in collaboration with category managers to ensure alignment with S2P priorities and goals.
  • Enable a GBS shared services team to deliver consistent and scalable support to the business.
  • Monitor service levels and support issue resolution in line with defined SLAs and KPIs.
  • Identify and escalated process bottlenecks, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Be accountable for maintaining standardised procurement policies, standard operating procedures, playbooks, templates, and workflows across the S2P process.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement Digital and Data Manager to identify automation opportunities and optimise system usage.
  • Request and use reports and data analytics to track performance, drive insight and improvement from end‑to‑end Source‑to‑Pay.
  • Strong leadership and influencing working with the functional leaders will be required in this role to implement and maintain process excellence. You will be required to build trusted partnering relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and risks and align procurement process to business goals.
What You’ll Bring
  • 3–5 years of experience in procurement operations, shared services, or Source‑to‑Pay processes.
  • Working knowledge of S2P systems and tools.
  • Ideally, experience of process mapping, modelling and workflow tools.
  • Proficient in gathering and interpreting data to make informed decisions about process improvements.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Understand the importance of the procurement function offering a strong customer services experience with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent administration skills, self‑motivated, focused, and results‑oriented.
