About This Role

The Trust Data Administrator plays a key role in supporting Maiden Erlegh Trust schools with the accurate management, integrity and effective use of student data. Working as part of the Trust Data Team and reporting to the Trust Data Manager, the role supports consistent data processes across schools and contributes to reliable reporting that informs teaching, learning and operational decision-making.

The postholder will work closely with school colleagues, exams officers and shared services teams to administer data within the Trust’s MIS (Bromcom), respond to data queries, and support assessment, reporting, timetabling and end-of-year processes. The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical capability and a proactive, service-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Administration and Quality
    • Administer student prior attainment, assessment and cohort data within Bromcom MIS.
    • Maintain accurate, timely and consistent data across Trust analytical tools.
    • Review and update student targets where required to ensure data remains current.
    • Check and update student records across associated systems to ensure consistency.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Produce pupil reports and ad-hoc data reports, including attendance and behaviour.
    • Support data collection cycles and publish reports in line with agreed timelines.
    • Ensure termly Student Progress Reports are available to the Trust Data Manager.
    • Support the delivery and analysis of examination results in collaboration with the Exams Officer.
  • Timetabling, Admissions and Census
    • Support and administer student timetable changes and option adjustments.
    • Support in-year admissions, including target setting and system updates.
    • Assist with census administration, error resolution and submissions under guidance.
    • Print student timetables or reports where required.
  • Systems, Processes and Collaboration
    • Prepare systems for data collection, including templates, mark sheets and reports.
    • Support end-of-year processes such as rollovers and course reassignments.
    • Contribute to the improvement of data systems and processes to enhance efficiency.
    • Provide contingency cover for other Trust Data Administrators when required.
    • Respond to data queries and requests from schools and Trust colleagues.
The Ideal Candidate Professional Expertise
  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar data or MIS role within a school context.
  • Knowledge and understanding of MIS packages in an educational environment.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
