Personal Tax Senior

An established and growing independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Reading is looking to recruit a Personal Tax Semi-Senior or Senior to strengthen its expanding private client team. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, close-knit firm with a strong local presence and a reputation for delivering both reliable compliance services and personalised tax advice.

The firm works closely with a varied client base including high-net-worth individuals, business owners and company directors, with a strong focus on building long-term client relationships.

As a Personal Tax Senior, you’ll be responsible for your own portfolio of private clients, including HNWIs, SME directors and partnerships. You'll work across both compliance and advisory matters, supported by a knowledgeable and approachable tax team.

Responsibilities

Managing personal tax returns and compliance work from start to finish

Providing tailored tax advice and planning solutions

Getting involved in ad hoc project work and client development

Assisting with mentoring and supporting junior staff

Requirements

Qualified ATT, ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified.

Solid experience in personal tax within a practice environment

Background in an independent, boutique, or mid-sized firm preferred

Able to manage compliance work with minimal supervision

Enthusiastic about private client tax and committed to long-term development

Benefits

Salary: £40,000 – £48,000 depending on experience and qualifications

Study support for CTA if required
