Maintenance Mechanic; Mechanical- 1st Shift

Position: Maintenance Mechanic (Mechanical)- 1st Shift
How You Will Make an Impact

The industrial Maintenance Technician (Mechanic) is responsible for ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on all production equipment including all fabrication equipment mechanical and hydraulic, conveyor systems, welding machines, e-coating and powder coating systems.

The Nuts and Bolts

• Responsible for observing and troubleshooting machinery malfunctions
• Must be able to install machinery/equipment, assemble and repair wiring, electronic and electrical components, plumbing, piping, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Responsible for repairing / replacing defective or faulty equipment parts using hand tools and power tools
• Provides regular preventative maintenance on machines and equipment
• Provide emergency or unscheduled repairs if needed - possibly requiring OT or weekend work

Required Credentials

• Prior experience with machine maintenance in an industrial setting is required
• Basic industrial electrical knowledge
• Ability to properly use a cutting torch, read and follow prints, and accurately read all types of measuring devices
• General knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations in industry
• Ability to climb, stand, bend, lift heavy objects in awkward and confined spaces
• Ability to work in an industrial setting with exposure to fumes, dust, vibration, noise, heavy machinery, high voltage with the use of appropriate protective / safety equipment. Non temperature controlled environment
