** Reading, PA** , you will be a member of a pre-hospital emergency care medical team. You will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an EMT certified Security Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for all.

You will conduct regular patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. As this is a driving post, you will also be responsible for mobile patrols as required. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries.

** What You'll Do:*

** This is an ON-SITE ONLY ambulance (EMT) AND security patrol position.*
* + Administer first aid treatment and other emergency care to sick or injured persons and assist with facilitating the transport to medical facilities.

+ Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities

+ Respond to emergency calls from a dispatcher such as requests for medical assistance following emergency response proceedings

+ Provide emergency medical care and other treatment pursuant to EMT certification

+ Determine the nature and extent of illness and injury

+ Report all medical incidents, accidents or emergencies to include completing a Daily Activity Log on every shift, describing all activities.

+ Complete an Incident Report documenting any medical response calls on client property

+ Establish priorities in order to determine procedures to be followed for emergency first aid or assistance; request additional help, including special rescue and utility services

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

* + Pennsylvania Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification is required.

+ Must have and maintain a State Certified EMT Basic, Intermediate, or Paramedic license.

+ Must have a current Health Care Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR card

+ A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.

+ Must have intermediate computer skills

+ Must have exceptional customer service and communication skills

+ Must be able to work outdoors in the elements

+ Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
