Design Engineer Intern

A Design Engineer Intern at Reading Truck works under the direction of the Engineering Department in support of sustaining and new product development activities.

What you will do:

DVP&R testing
Document and reverse engineer competitor service bodies
Engineering change notification
Create and update standard work documents
Create engineering 3D models and drawings

Program Requirements:

Be a full-time student in a 4-year college program in aligned Major:
Mechanical Engineering
Junior year completed- preferred
Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
Solid Works experience
Sheet metal forming understanding and experience
Adhere to all company policies
Attend orientation and check-in meetings
Final presentation - prepare and present to company management

Work Environment

Professional office environment and work on a manufacturing floor
Sedentary work with extended periods of computer use
Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) - if required
