Senior Care Assistant role at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The successful candidate will support the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Main dutiesAs a Senior Care Assistant, your focus will be on monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changes impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and updating written records to reflect any variations. You will also be involved in the person-centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring and undertaking monthly evaluations, supporting residents with their medication requirements, undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development where required, and acting as a key point of contact for residents, relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals, escalating concerns or complaints as necessary.

Job packageShift Details: 8am – 8pm
RequirementsTo be successful in this role you should:
- Hold an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
- Have at least 2 years of experience working in a similar care environment.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Have a positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
- Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
Additional requirements:
- DBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare).
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
