This is a full-time, on-site role for a BIM Modeler located in Raytown, MO. The BIM Modeler will be responsible for developing and managing Building Information Models (BIM) to create and analyze construction designs. The role involves collaborating with project teams to ensure the seamless integration of architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) designs, reviewing construction drawings, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring models align with project requirements.
The BIM Modeler will also contribute to the identification of potential design challenges and propose efficient solutions that align with project goals.
- Electrical field experience required and/or job-related experience in 2D and 3D modeling (5 years field and/or technical experience combined preferred)
- Electrical/specialty systems trade experience (preferred)
- Ability to possess or learn:
- Revit
- Navisworks
- BIM
360/Autodesk Construction Cloud (preferred) - General comprehension, navigation, and utilization of design, construction, and submittal documentation
- Understanding of National Electric Code
- Demonstrates knowledgeable layout of racks and different systems
- Ability to understand a project specific BIM Execution Plan and how it relates to the modeling efforts in meeting a project’s contractual requirements
- Ability to work within the established company standards
- Ability to set up Revit central model to project specifications and requirements
- Ability to model electrical components and content to accurate dimensions, orientation, and elevation
- Create assembly documentation from the model as required to meet detailed manufacturing requirements
- Create, modify, and maintain detailed 2D and 3D installation documentation
- Model and maintain a clash free environment
- Effectively communicate with team members and project stakeholders
- Provide detailed input into task assignments and project tracking as set forth by Coordinator and/or project lead(s)
- Maintain accountability through task management and tracking set forth by Coordinator and/or project lead(s)
- BIM clash coordination, Revit Family creation, and Dynamo experience a plus
