** General Description for Market & Takeout Cashier**
MARKET
The primary responsibilities of this position include excellent customer service and answering phones promptly. You will also take and process orders, including direct and third-party online orders (Door Dash, etc). Accurately weighing food on the scale is essential, as is stocking products to ensure inventory is up to date. Efficient cleaning and organizing of the workspace are also required, along with assisting in food preparation.
By effectively managing these tasks, you will contribute to a positive and efficient service experience for our customers.
TAKEOUT
The responsibilities encompass various vital tasks focused on efficient food handling and meticulous preparation. Team members are required to carefully package multiple food items, ensuring they are securely sealed for freshness and presentation. When assisting customers, it's essential to bag their purchases neatly and carefully, making the experience pleasant. Accuracy in processing transactions is paramount, which includes meticulously checking and following receipts to confirm the correct items and amounts.
When it comes to communication, answering phones in a courteous and professional customer service voice is necessary to provide excellent support to customers and address their inquiries effectively. In the kitchen, team members must demonstrate skill in preparing, cleaning, and assembling an array of salads and desserts, ensuring they not only taste delicious but also are visually appealing. In terms of food preparation, employees are responsible for vacuum-sealing food items intended for freezer storage to maintain their quality over time.
Properly stocking products on shelves is crucial, involving organizing items by category and ensuring all products are visible to customers. Regularly rotating stocked items helps to keep everything fresh, allowing older items to be sold first. Additionally, it's vital to routinely check for any items that can no longer be sold due to expiration or quality concerns and to discard them responsibly to maintain a safe and clean environment.
Requirements
** Education**
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-1+ years of prior experience is preferred
