Job Summary

This position is working on a heavy industrial construction worksite. The Journeyman will work with the job supervisor to complete projects under contract. A successful candidate will be able to collaborate with a team of professionals to complete these projects within the projected deadline and under budget.

Essential

Job Responsibilities
  • Constructing, fabricating, installing and dismantling form work of fixtures of metal, wood, and other accessories, rod-busting and concrete finishing.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions.
  • Document, plan, and perform work activities independently.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Perform all other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • 2 years of form setting, rod-busting and concrete finishing experience on an industrial construction jobsite.
  • Extensive knowledge of industrial construction practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, and adherence to applicable building codes and must be proficient at reading blueprints.
  • Must be able to clearly explain steps and provide clear directions.
Preferred
  • Must be able to complete and complete the paperwork required for purchase orders, time sheets, etc. and answer questions about the construction processes for field staff and other subcontractors.
  • Must be willing to embrace the company’s core values.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Work Environment
  • Outside most of the time.
  • Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
  • Limited working surfaces.
  • Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
  • Exposure to areas with limited visibility.
  • Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights).
  • Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks.
  • If driving is required, valid driver license and proof of insurability are required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.

This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
