Leadership and Management:
- Directly supervises activities of 2+ full‑time employees (Assistant Manager(s), Lead Representative(s), Customer Service Representative(s)).
- Recruits, hires, and trains enthusiastic employees, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Develops, manages, and assigns tasks to keep the store clean, stocked, organized, and well‑kept based on company standards.
- Maintains a professional and supportive image among subordinates and supervisor.
- Schedules employees within company guidelines to maximize customer service and maintain store image.
- Implements non‑discriminatory management skills while hiring, training, counseling, mentoring, motivating and separating employees.
Store Relationships:
- Develops positive relationships with all suppliers.
- Promotes excellent service and resolves customer complaints in a timely, professional manner.
- Provides reliable onsite attendance.
- Promotes and ensures a safe, positive public image within the neighboring community.
Training and Development:
- Prepares ongoing performance appraisals in Workday, including 30‑, 60‑, 90‑, 12‑month and anniversary check‑ins.
- Trains all employees to meet customer service, store image, and marketing standards.
- Trains employees on safety procedures and promotes safety awareness.
- Mentors on cash awareness and expectations to reduce risk.
- Ensures employees complete all required training promptly.
Communications:
- Develops methods to ensure all employees receive proper communication in a timely manner.
- Conducts periodic ongoing communication meetings with all store employees and the District Manager.
Organizing and Planning:
- Evaluates and develops action plans to address store needs.
- Organizes and maintains all store files and manuals.
- Supervises employees to ensure all required reports are completed accurately and timely.
- Ensures merchandise is stocked, displayed attractively, and priced correctly.
- Ensures required employment posters and signs are accessible.
Financial:
- Analyzes daily sales and expenses to maximize sales and net profits.
- Budgets and forecasts P&L lines and manages merchandise margins.
- Safeguards and accounts for all money received and disbursed.
- Conducts other financial analyses necessary to maximize sales and net profits.
- Notifies District Manager of any discrepancies.
- High school diploma or equivalent plus 1–2 years of retail experience, or equivalent education/training.
- Ability to supervise and train equipment, tools, and materials listed in CSR, LSR, and SA job descriptions.
- Ability to supervise and manage functions listed in CSR, LSR, and SA job descriptions.
- Proficiency with a computer and ability to use store systems for reporting, inventory control, cash control, and employment forms.
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
- Open availability.
- English communication (oral and written).
- Ability to perform essential duties and physical functions described.
- Ability to work in the conditions described.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Certificates & licenses:
Food Server (e.g., Serv Safe) and Food Safety Management certification may be required.
- Work a minimum of 50 hours per week.
- Be exposed to temperature extremes in walk‑in coolers, freezers and outdoors.
- Occasionally lift/carry up to 30 lbs from ground to overhead.
- Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs from ground to waist.
- Grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands entire shift; requires eye‑hand coordination.
- Push/pull with arms up to 20 lbs.
- Reach overhead.
- Bend and twist at waist.
- Communicate orally.
- Operate a cash register and/or computer keyboard.
- Stoop, kneel, squat, bend, push, pull.
- Work alone.
- Exposed to occasional noise.
- Stand and/or walk entire shift.
- May require climbing a ladder to retrieve materials or remove signs.
- Work requires 50 hours per week, with all shifts, week‑ends, and holidays.
- Perform ~95% of work indoors; cleaning parking lots, gas pumps, taking out garbage, etc.
- Exposure to extreme cold temperatures in walk‑in cooler/freezer.
- Exposure to occasional noise.
- Work with minimum direction and periodic supervision.
