Position SummaryAt this level, an Independent Process Operator can perform more complex process changeovers, including troubleshooting. They can recognize and solve some non-routine problems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Performs & meets the requirements of all previous skill sets.
- Troubleshoot and perform low level maintenance.
- Use machine controls necessary to perform set‑ups and make process adjustments (if required).
- Identify quality issues and determine root cause, complete QN’s and segregate parts with defects.
- Use the schedule to make decisions and manage order flow – add to JLG Guide.
- Complete routine set‑ups independently within the targeted time.
- Notify supervision if capacity requirements are not being met.
- Transfer chemicals to the appropriately labeled container.
- Identify & label chemicals using the appropriate Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Identify the size, material, and configuration by the part number.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Processing experience preferred or related job aptitude (e.g., ability to troubleshoot and follow instructions).
- Able to read and follow standard work instructions.
- Recognize functional and cosmetic defects.
- Applicant must be able to multi‑task and prioritize.
