Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement short-term and long-term strategic plans to achieve company objectives, aligning with overall business goals and market analysis. Drive revenue generation and cost control initiatives.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee all aspects of facility operations, including production, quality control, safety management, plant maintenance, logistics and supply chain management. Optimize processes for maximum productivity and efficiency. Implement and maintain effective inventory management and capacity planning systems. Manage warehouse operations effectively.
  • Financial Acumen: Develop and manage the facility's budget, ensuring responsible spending and maximizing profitability. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and make data‑driven decisions to improve financial results.
  • Team Management: Lead, motivate, and develop a high‑performing team. Foster a positive work environment through effective team building, delegation, performance management, and employee relations. Handle talent acquisition and training/development initiatives. Ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations, including (but not limited to) HIPAA, OSHA, and DOT FMCSA. Oversee compliance audits and risk management programs.
  • Technical Proficiency: Possess a strong understanding of laundry processes, equipment, chemicals, and industry standards.
  • Problem Solving & Communication: Effectively identify and resolve operational challenges using troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and critical thinking skills. Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, with suppliers, and with customers. Demonstrate strong negotiation skills.
  • Customer Focus: Drive customer satisfaction by resolving complaints effectively and building strong customer relationships.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Business Administration (focus on operations management), or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Previous 3-5 years experience running/managing an Industrial Laundry with tunnel washers. Preferably with 10+ million pounds a year.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
  • Medical Laundry or Hospital Experience with Joint Commission and Infection Control.
  • Certified Linen and Laundry Manager and/or Healthcare Laundry accredited certified experience preferred.
  • Business Acumen at a level to interact with C‑suite members on a weekly basis.
  • Appropriate P&L experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a General Manager or similar leadership role.
  • Proven track record of success in strategic planning, financial management, operational efficiency, and team leadership.
  • Strong understanding of relevant regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, DOT FMCSA).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
