Overview
We are now looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join our European Legal & IP team. This role is based in Raunheim, Germany
, with employment under LTIC (Lotus Tech Innovation Centre). You will report operationally to the LTIC Managing Director in Raunheim and functionally to the Head of Legal at Zeekr Technology Europe in Gothenburg.
You will work both independently and collaboratively, supporting the Head of Legal and business leaders on a broad range of complex legal and strategic matters in a global setting.
- Leading cross‑border legal projects in digital technology and innovation, providing legal support for automotive R&D and vehicle sales, and partnering closely with the business
- Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing various agreements (incl. R&D, supplier, NDAs, license, innovation, sales/distribution, dealer/agency, service, logistics, leasing, partnership, marketing, sponsorship, promotional)
- Supporting market entry and business model development in Europe
- Providing counsel on German corporate law (MD, board matters, shareholder issues, M&A, reorganizations, structures)
- Managing contract frameworks and systems, templates, and negotiation guidelines
- Ensuring compliance with German and EU regulations, including whistleblowing channels
- Collaborating with colleagues from European legal teams on various matters
- Advising senior leadership on legal strategy, risk, and governance
- Coordinating with external counsel for litigation, competition, and regulatory matters
- Supporting internal audits, risk assessments, and due diligence
- Delivering legal training and guidance to business teams
- Leading and updating legal policies and procedures in line with the Geely Group’s ethics and compliance programs
- Monitoring legislative changes and advising stakeholders on potential business impacts
We are looking for a confident, business-oriented, and highly collaborative legal professional with a solid track record in corporate and commercial law. You bring a combination of legal excellence, strong communication skills, and strategic thinking.
- Legal Master’s Degree from an accredited German law school, German Legal bar would be a plus
- Solid knowledge in automotive R&D, vehicles sales and distribution, or AI-driven technologies, including hands‑on exposure to R&D, supplier, NDA, licensing, innovation, sales and distribution, dealer/agency, service, logistics, leasing, partnership, marketing, sponsorship, and promotional agreements
- 8 - 10 years of legal experience, preferably from a top-tier law firm or as in-house legal counsel in an international corporation
- Demonstrated expertise in German corporate and commercial law, including experience with governance and board-level advisory
- Experience leading legal negotiations and managing contract portfolios in complex cross-border transactions
- Strong understanding of legal risk management, business operations, and innovative environments
- Fluent in German and English (spoken and written); additional languages (e.g., Chinese or other European languages) are a plus
- Background in the automotive R&D/sales, tech, or advanced manufacturing sectors
- Legal knowledge in specialized areas such as commercial law, corporate law, consumer law, compliance law, IP law, product liability, AI, Data Privacy, and software regulations
