Role DescriptionWe are seeking a Garage Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our vehicle and equipment garage in Ras Al Khaimah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing maintenance activities for company trucks, light vehicles, and heavy equipment, ensuring all vehicles are operating safely and efficiently.
The Garage Supervisor will coordinate repair schedules, supervise technicians and mechanics, monitor spare parts inventory, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. The role requires strong technical knowledge of vehicle maintenance along with leadership skills to manage garage staff and maintain smooth workflow.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily operations of the garage and workshop
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance, repairs, and inspections of trucks and company vehicles
- Manage a team of mechanics and technicians
- Ensure preventive maintenance is conducted according to schedule
- Diagnose mechanical issues and oversee troubleshooting and repairs
- Maintain records of vehicle maintenance, service history, and repairs
- Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement when required
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
- Coordinate with operations and logistics teams regarding vehicle availability
- Ensure minimal downtime of vehicles and equipment
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in garage supervision or fleet maintenance
- Strong knowledge of truck and heavy equipment maintenance
- Experience managing mechanics or technical staff
- Good understanding of vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple maintenance tasks
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Automotive or mechanical technical certification is an advantage
- Experience with fleet management systems.
- Knowledge of diesel engines and heavy transport vehicles
- Experience working in construction, quarry, or transport companies
