About Wynn Al Marjan Island:
On schedule to open in the United Arab Emirates in spring 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island has been created as an opulent and entertaining beachside destination for discerning guests to play and relax. Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, nightclub, and five‑star spa is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.
About the Position:
Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Manager – Public Area to join the resort’s hotel Housekeeping Public Area team.
The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- Oversee and coordinate all Colleagues, ensuring Guests receive prompt and courteous service and all areas of the operations are running as per resort standard procedures and policies.
- Carry out Inspections of all areas.
- Inspect and ensure all tools and equipment are functioning as per resort standards.
- Coordinate and manage deep cleaning and special task schedules, ensuring all public areas are kept as per resort standards,
- Monitor and report to the Director of Housekeeping regarding the upkeep of furnishings, facilities and equipment.
- Carry out good communication with Team Leaders, and Colleagues ensure performance is effectively managed.
- Ensure all Colleagues are attending to duty in the proper uniform, on time and well groomed.
- To report for duty punctually always wearing the correct uniform and name badge.
- To ensure proper grooming always as per company policy.
- To attend daily briefing on selected areas conducted by direct leader
- Leaders: to champion the company values and objectives such as CES and FORBES 5 Star Classification.
- Oversee and coordinate all colleagues ensuring guests receive prompt and courteous service and all areas of the operation are running as per resort standard procedures and policies.
- Responsible for departmental roster / manning
- Oversee and monitor that all vacation schedules are prepared as the resort requirements.
- Oversee department recruitment requirements, assist HR with recruiting new Colleagues and carrying out interviews.
- To assist in documentation of projects such as LPO, PO, Delivery notes, Departmental Meeting and Trainings.
- To champion the daily measurement tools for productivity, Time and Motion, etc. ensuring there is no redundancy of duties.
- Hold daily briefings with Team ensuring they have the correct and updated information in order to carry out their duties effectively
- Identify and ensure highest possible standard of cleanliness and maintenance of all public areas of the resort, internal and external.
- Ensure and oversee any outside Contractors are working as per their Contract, and resort standards always.
- Oversee and control that housekeeping procedures are kept updated and in accordance with Health and Safety policies for personnel and guests.
- Ensure all Colleagues and Team Leaders are trained and introduced to their duties as per resort standards and policies.
- Ensure that daily resort information is updated on relevant notice boards, and all Colleagues are receiving the correct and updated information from the Team Leaders.
- Ensure training needs within the department is monitored, analyzed and executed as per resort standards.
- Make sure all Colleagues are trained on the resort emergency procedures and first aid as per the resort standards.
- Coach, counsel, and discipline Colleagues, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance.
- Oversee departmental expenses, ensure inventories of operating equipment, linen and supplies are maintained and
- Control and analyze department budget, ensure performance of the department is in accordance with budget.
- Have required Training of resort PMS system and FSI system to carry out duties efficiently and as per resort standards,
- Assist subordinates during peak periods.
- Participate in Housekeeping Public area meetings and make suggestions for improvements to the Executive Housekeeper.
