Mechanical Technician - Hospitality​/Facility management

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical systems including HVAC, chillers, pumps, AHUs, FCUs, exhaust systems, and ventilation units
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment to ensure uninterrupted hotel operations
• Monitor plant room operations including chilled water systems, cooling towers, boilers, and pressurization systems
• Conduct routine inspections of piping systems, valves, compressors, and motors
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest‑related mechanical issues
• Assist in testing and maintaining fire‑fighting systems, water supply systems, and emergency mechanical systems
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and update job cards in the CAFM system (if applicable)
• Coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs and shutdown activities
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and local authority regulations
• Support energy conservation initiatives and report abnormal consumption patterns

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related technical qualification
• 3–6 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within hospitality, hotels, resorts, or large commercial facilities
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chillers, pumps, and mechanical plant equipment
• Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals
• Basic understanding of BMS (Building Management Systems)
• Good troubleshooting and fault‑diagnosis skills
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and emergency call‑outs
• Physically fit and able to work in plant rooms and confined spaces when required
